Wide format digital imaging film was designed specifically for the new wide format ink jet printers. These wide format printers typically have really high ink coverage and need special laminate qualities to ensure proper lamination. These films are almost always on a 3" core and are offered in glossy, satin and matte finishes. Wide format films melt at lower temperatures and are very aggressive to ensure lamination. An easy way to ensure better lamination is to use matte paper in your ink jet printer instead of the very popular glossy paper. This paper is easier to laminate and is less expensive. Image quality is usually enhanced after lamination. Please make sure you let your print cure or dry before lamination.
